Yes, Sarawak! I have so much to write about but nothing really important in them! The only thing I could really write from the trip is that I had the most fun with everybody there! If I do write about my entire 4 days there, I trust so that you guys won't even finish reading this post forever :( So to not waste your energy on reading this suppose-to-be long post. I've made it article-like and short for easy reading. Am I not just a doll? I knowwwww :)
At first, the thought of heading to Sarawak was making me really excited! We were going to climb a mountain, isn't that just challenging-ly awesome?! In my head, it was all "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG! I, BELINDA LEE IS CLIMBING A HIGH, DIFFICULT, MAJESTIC MOUNTAIN!!! *SCREAMS LIKE A SIAO PO*"
Yea, something like that but worst.
Sarawak is a beautiful state. Compared to Selangor, I really think they managed the place better than us by abundance. This is because I am most impressed with the level of cleanliness in Sarawak. If you can control the number of trash thrown on the streets by your people, you can call yourself awesome then. Look at KL and I can laugh already. PFFT
As you all know, Sarawak isn't a very flat land like how it is here in the other side. The roads are curvy and from anywhere at all, you can see mountains popping out behind a skyscraper. The view is magnificent especially from a particular spot in the middle of Sarawak. I don't know what's it called but it looks like this.
This place shows a 360 degree view around Sarawak :)
And this is one of the pretty views I've taken :)
So far, all we've mostly wandered around was all in Kuching, where we were staying. The place felt really safe! Even in the middle of the night, our teacher allowed us to go explore the town. Maybe the place where we stayed at was a tourist attraction venue, hence I'm guessing that's why people wander in the night there a lot.
SO FAR, I only saw TWO cats there. I am disappointed at the name. Pathffffffffffathic.
If you'd ask me, Sarawak is kind of boring in the night. Nothing actually looks fun except for those people who sells Viagra openly by the streets and around shop-lots. I wanted to go stare at them and give them my awkward face but I was chickenfied. Very obscene, I got scared. LAWL.
The night was boring that we even caught a 11.30pm movie on the third night! :)
Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part Two, yo! (; Hehe.
Pinch his fats! XD
Like most tourists', we people from Klang do the same as well. We visit popular places, do recommended activities, and hunt for the best foods there in Sarawak!
I am very eager to tell you the outcome of my food research there. For a first-timer there, I honestly think Klang is still the best place to look for great food. Often I look at the feedback of people travelling around the world promoting the food they've eaten and how they feel about it and many, they talk about Malaysia. So when I arrived in Sarawak, my hopes were flat and I got what I was expecting - so-so food.
SIGH SIGH.
Maybe it was Mr. Valentine that didn't know where the best foods in Sarawak were or we were too far from it? I can't blame him anyway :) After all, the Chinese race always have the best tastes' in food.
Want to know something that I'm not going to SIGH for? MOUNTAINS!
We were suppose to climb a mountain called Gunung Santubong but our teacher said if we changed our minds to Gunung Gading, we can see a rafflesia, plus travel an easier and shorter trail. A rafflesia - "So what?" but to Wei Shen, it was "FUCK A RAFFLESIA YOU KNOW! HOW RARE!". I agree, it is rare but I had no interest in seeing it at the moment but I saw it. I saw a rafflesia. BEAT THAT YO! Okay, it was amazing but smelly :) AND THE TRAIL WASN'T EASY OKAY. IT WAS CRAZY! WE COULD HAVE FALLEN OFF A CLIFF AND DIED THERE.
Proof! Gahahahaha!
Oh, this was the point where everything started to get hard.
Epic moments when Edmund did not realize that he was being sucked by a leech there until he bathed in the evening! HAHA.
Resting by a small DRINKABLE waterfall while waiting for the others to arrive down from the top :)
Can you believe that we were up there on the tip?! I couldn't but I did it! :O
I forgot on which day but I also saw furry apes :B Wei Shen said they weren't apes.. So we must call then orangutans. That doesn't sound cute anymore but one thing is cute - there is one orangutan called Edwin :D Heeeeeeeeee.
They say the orangutans are named after important people like the people who brought them to Malaysia and so on. Edwin must be proud. LOL.
At many of our free times out of the important activities like above and visiting the orangutans. We visited many museums there and pictures were forbidden but we did curi-curi snap some, thanks to Shaun. LOL. But I'm not going to upload it larh :B Later ISA will come catch me. We also did molding clay! :D
Me with my doughnut :3
We also visited the waterfront at a Sungai Sarawak and the view was breathtaking :) But there's nothing special there anyway. NO FREEDOM. Play and fool around also kena marah by some apek :( Stupid.
Shen, me, Jenn and Shaun :)
Shaun's win with a digital camera :P
So yeah, I got lazy up until here and I'm about to pass out anytime now. Thanks so much for reading this crap :) More pictures in my Facebook - HERE, HERE and HERE. From Elaura's Facebook, HERE and HERE too :)
Just so you know, we did more than I had mentioned here :) Go browse through the pictures to have a more clearer understanding of what we did the entire four days there. Hilarious pictures not to be missed ;) Like seriously.
Shaun missing in here. LOL
Till then, chao!
